Pride in Manchester Sponsored Events

Come enjoy Pride Week activities all week, including events sponsored by local non-profit organizations throughout Town (click "independently sponsored events" in the menu on the left for those activities).

FRIDAY, June 1

Senior Dance, 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Senior Center, 549 East Middle Turnpike. Music and line-dancing, with caller Jim Gregory. No experience needed and you do not need to bring a partner -- all welcome! Refreshments and door prizes. Admission is free but tickets are required to be eligible for door prizes. Tickets will be available from mid-May to June 1 at the Senior Center and at the Customer Service area at Town Hall, 41 Center Street. Young people are encouraged to attend and learn dance steps. Enjoy the fun of music, dance, and socializing.

SUNDAY, June 3 due to weather forecast of thunderstorms

Concert in the Park. Live music in Center Memorial Park, starting at 6:00 p.m. Shaded Soul, a high-energy band, will present music that spans many decades, a repertoire that includes Rhythm & Blues, Motown, Funk Soul, Jazz, Reggae, Swing, Rock, Pop, Disco, and Top 40. Town Troubadour Bill Ludwig will open. Some food vendors -- Jeff's Kettlecorn and AJ's Hot Dogs -- will be available with food for sale. Patrons can come early, with blankets and chairs to get the best seating. Rain date is Sunday, June 3. Come to this wonderful, free outdoor concert! Bring your friends. The night will be hopping with music. The park is located in Downtown Manchester (behind Mary Cheney Library, 586 Main Street). Local food vendors are invited to contact the concert chairperson at Kevin Zingler, to sign up to sell food at the event. Pride blankets will be sold that night as well, $20, cash or check. During intermission, the Pride committee will announce this year's Hometown Heroes. Plenty of free parking behind Town Hall and in the Municipal lot on Pearl Street, as well as side streets. SUNDAY, June 3

Art in the Park. 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in Center Memorial Park (behind Mary Cheney Library, 586 Main Street) an artist showcase with more than 100 artists, vendors, makers, and craftspersons, music, food, and more. THURSDAY, June 7

Imagine Main Street in Downtown Manchester, 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. Imagine Main Street celebrates its seventh anniversary with music, art, food, and fun. Horse-drawn wagonette rides along Main St. Plus – Music throughout Downtown, dozens of artists, vendors, exhibitors, fun for the whole family with an artistic flair! Special tastings, restaurant specials and more. More at Imagine Main. Come "Strollin' On Main. A bit of history -- Thursdays used to be the night when you’d stroll down the street, meet your neighbors, have a bite to eat, and do some shopping. The Imagine Main Street Committee invites all to this year's festive evening, with traditional and new activities.
